We do not collect your personal data
Cookie Clicker does not collect, sell, or transfer your personal information to third parties. Game progress and settings stay on your device in local Chrome storage (or local app storage on Android).
Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how the Cookie Clicker Chrome extension and Android app ("Game", "we", "us") handle information when you use them.Cookie Clicker is a free idle and incremental clicker game where you bake cookies, unlock buildings, and build an automated cookie empire.
By installing or using Cookie Clicker, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the extension or app.

Information we store
We do not require an account. The following data is stored locally on your device only:
- Cookie counts, cookies per second (CPS), and lifetime totals
- Owned buildings, upgrades, achievements, and prestige (Heavenly Crumbs)
- Settings such as sound, volume, number notation, contrast, and shop preferences
- Export/import save payloads you choose to create
This information never leaves your device through our extension code for analytics or advertising purposes.
Permissions
The Chrome extension uses Manifest V3 and requests the storage permission only. Storage is used to save and restore your game progress and settings when you open or close the popup.
We do not request access to your browsing history, tabs, or website content.
How we use information
Locally stored data is used solely to run gameplay: production ticks, offline accrual, upgrades, prestige, and your preferred options. We do not operate a backend that receives your save data.
The Android app may display ads through Google Play advertising partners. Ad networks may collect device or advertising identifiers according to their own policies. The Chrome extension itself remains storage-only.
Children
Cookie Clicker is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through a third-party service (for example on Android), contact us and we will help where we can.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of Cookie Clicker after an update means you accept the revised policy.
